The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is pleased to provide C.elegans participants with comfortable housing accommodations in UCLA's Conference Facilities. Attendees of the International C.elegans Conference may reserve on-campus housing by filling out an on-line housing registration form. The deadline for housing registration is May 25, 2007. Click here for On-Campus Housing Form - "DO NOT ENTER ROOMMATE CODES" We are currently experiencing problems with the roommate codes. When registering just enter your roommate's name and leave the roommate code section blank. (Internet Explorer 5.5 or better must be used to register online. Macintosh or Safari can not be used.) Accommodations Plaza Rooms Accommodations will be available in UCLA's deluxe accommodations – Plaza rooms (Sunset Village & DeNeve Plaza) and also in UCLA’s economical accommodations – Rieber Court Rooms. Plaza rooms feature single or double occupancy rooms (two twin beds in each) with private baths or shared baths. Plaza rooms are air-conditioned, and include, cable television, daily maid service, telephones, hotel-like amenities, and Internet access. Rieber Court Rooms Rieber Court Rooms are single or double occupancy rooms (however some rooms may have (3) beds in them which consist of two beds bunked and one loft bed). If you have problems climbing into a higher raised bed, please do not choose this room type option. All Rieber Court rooms have shared bathrooms (two rooms share one bathroom), are air-conditioned and include Internet access. These rooms DO NOT include television or daily maid service (the bathrooms however are cleaned daily) Package Rates The housing package rate is the following:
Rieber Court Rooms: **In addition to the package rate; a non-refundable $25 registration fee will be added to your package total. Meals All residential conference guests enjoy daily meals as part of their housing package plan. The plan includes 3 meals per day. Meals begin with dinner on the day of arrival and end with lunch on the day of departure. Our beautiful residential restaurants, features a marketplace atmosphere with exhibition food preparation stations. As many as ten different entrees are offered at every meal. Popular menu items include Vegetarian Fettuccini Alfredo, Cornish Game Hens, London broil, Thai Chicken, and Grilled Portobello Mushroom sandwich. Favorites like hamburgers-hot off the grill, and homemade pizza fresh from our pizza ovens, are also served daily. All meals are served buffet style, and all-you-care-to-eat. Recreation All residential conference guests receive complimentary access to UCLA’s outstanding recreational facilities during their stay. Guest can enjoy tennis, racquetball, and workout facilities at John Wooden Center, or swim and sunbathe at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Both facilities are a short walk from the residential facilities. Check-in/Check-out Time Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. UCLA Conference Services cannot guarantee early check-ins prior to 4 p.m. on day of arrival. Every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals, as individual rooms become available. Check-out Time: Will be extended until the end of the conference. Check-in will take place in Sunset Village. For Directions to Sunset Village please print the corresponding map. Parking A parking permit is required at all times for all vehicles parked on campus. Parking is $8.00 per day or $40.00 for the duration of the conference (June 27 – July 1, 2007). You may purchase parking upon check-in. Housing Deadline Your housing registration must be received by UCLA no later than May 25, 2007 to guarantee your reservation. If your registration is received after this deadline, we will do our best to provide you with accommodations for the duration of your conference subject to space availability. Cancellation/Refund Policy Individual Reservations are only refundable (minus one night’s stay and the administrative charge) when UCLA Conference Services is notified in writing by June 15, 2007. Any cancellations after this cut-off are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for early departures or late arrivals (in the event that a guest checks out earlier or arrives later than the reserved date noted on the Registration form). Payment Full payment of all fees must accompany your registration. Registrations with partial payments will be returned unprocessed. All checks must be in U.S. funds and drawn on a U.S. bank, and be made payable to “UC Regents”. You may also pay by debit or credit card by filling in the appropriate section of the registration form. Your debit or credit card will be charged the full package amount immediately upon receipt.
