The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is pleased to provide the Pediatrics Board Review Course (PBRC) participants with comfortable housing accommodations in UCLA's Conference Facilities.

Attendees of PBRC may reserve on-campus housing by filling out an on-line housing registration form.

Accommodations
De Neve Plaza rooms feature single or double occupancy rooms (two twin beds in each) with private baths. All air-conditioned rooms are non-smoking, and equipped with alarm clocks, cable television, daily maid service, telephones, bathroom amenities, and Internet access. Guest information is also provided in each room.

UCLA's housing facilities are a ten-minute walk from Westwood Village, where you'll find restaurants, unique shops, and several movie theaters. Other nearby shopping and entertainment areas includes Beverly Hills, the Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade and Century City.

Climate and Dress
Typically, the climate in Southern California during the summer months is mild to warm. Meeting room temperatures vary, so layered clothing, such as a sweater or light jacket are recommended for your personal comfort. Attire for the entire conference is "summer casual" and you are encouraged to dress comfortably.

Business Center/Mini Bookstore
Covel Business Center serves the business needs of our guests including copying, shipping and Internet access. Also, a small UCLA bookstore is conveniently located in the housing area.

If any participant has special needs, please indicate the requirements on the UCLA Housing Form.

Smoking
Please remember that smoking is not permitted within UCLA buildings. There are designated outdoor areas for smoking.

Driving Directions to UCLA De Neve Plaza

From the 405 Freeway, exit on Sunset Blvd. Proceed EAST on Sunset Blvd. to Bellagio Drive.

Make a RIGHT turn onto Bellagio Drive and proceed to the stop sign at the top of the hill. Turn RIGHT at the stop sign onto De Neve Drive.

Proceed SOUTH on De Neve Drive, past Hedrick, Rieber, and Sproul Halls (located on your left).

Make a RIGHT turn onto Charles E. Young Drive West. Turn RIGHT at the next stop sign and proceed up the drive way.

Check in at the front desk inside of De Neve Plaza.

Package Rates
The housing package rate is the following:

Upon registering you will be asked for your roommate choice. If you choose a double occupied room you will be asked to list your roommates name on the housing registration form. UCLA Housing will not room anyone together unless otherwise requested. There will be a single charged amount that must be charged to a single credit card and the roommates will need to make the necessary arrangements to split that cost.

**In addition to the package rate; a non-refundable $25 registration fee will be added to your package total.

Meals
Housing Rates include breakfast only for each guest. Breakfast is served 7:00am - 9:00am.

Our beautiful residential restaurants, features a marketplace atmosphere with exhibition food preparation stations; including grilled specialties, fresh fruit bar, and espresso coffees. All meals are served buffet style, and are all-you-care-to-eat.

Recreation
All residential conference guests receive complimentary access to UCLA's outstanding recreational facilities during their stay. Guest can enjoy tennis, racquetball, and workout facilities at John Wooden Center, or swim and sunbathe at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Both facilities are a short walk from the residential facilities.

Check-in/Check-out Time
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. UCLA Conference Services cannot guarantee early check-ins prior to 4 p.m. on day of arrival. Every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals, as individual rooms become available.

Parking
Vehicles not visibly displaying parking permits, parked illegally or parked in a location not designated on the permit, are subject to ticketing and towing. Parking is $9.00/day. You may purchase your parking permit at the De Neve front desk upon check-in.

Housing Deadline
Your housing registration must be received by UCLA no later than August 28, 2008 to guarantee your reservation. After this deadline, we will do our best to provide you with accommodations for the duration of your conference subject to space availability, however, we can not guarantee availability after deadline.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Individual Reservations are only refundable (minus one night's stay and the administrative charge) when UCLA Conference Services is notified in writing by August 22, 2008. Any cancellations after the deadline are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for early departures or late arrivals (in the event that a guest checks out earlier or arrives later than the reserved date noted on the Registration form).

Payment
Full payment of all fees must accompany your registration. Registrations with partial payments will be returned unprocessed. All checks must be in U.S. funds and drawn on a U.S. bank, and be made payable to "UC Regents". You may also pay by credit card by filling in the appropriate section of the registration form. Your credit card will be charged the full package amount immediately upon receipt.
