The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is pleased to provide ICCOSS participants with comfortable housing accommodations in UCLA's Conference Facilities. Attendees of ICCOSS may reserve on-campus housing by filling out an on-line housing registration form. Housing Registration Form PLEASE NOTE: Housing reservations and meeting registration are handled separately. You will need to register separately for the meeting. Accommodations Located on UCLA’s campus De Neve Plaza features single or double occupancy rooms (two twin beds in each) with private or shared baths. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, alarm clocks, cable television, daily maid service, telephones, bathroom amenities, internet access, and are non-smoking. Guest information is also provided in each room.
De Neve Plaza will also be the location for many of the conference activities and is only a ten-minute walk from Westwood Village, where you'll find restaurants, unique shops, and several movie theaters. Other nearby shopping and entertainment areas includes Beverly Hills, the Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade and Century City. Package Rates The housing package rate is the following:
$142.00/room/night* - double occupancy ($71.00 per person per night) Upon Registering you will be asked for your roommate choice. There are two options to register for double occupancy. Option 1. One person may book the room and register his/her roommate via the this web site using the Online Housing Registration form linked above. One credit card will be charged the full amount so the principal registrant will be responsible for full payment. Option 2. If you prefer a double room and a a roommate assigned to you by ICCOSS then do not use the Online Housing Registration Form. Featuring a marketplace atmosphere with exhibition food preparation stations; including grilled specialties, fresh fruit bar, and espresso coffees. All meals are served buffet style, and are all-you-care-to-eat.
Lunch is served 11:00am – 1:30pm Dinner: A wide range of diner options for all budgets can be found in Westwood village (walking distance), and many more dining options within a short drive in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Brentwood and Santa Monica. There is good public transportation to several of those sites. A list of recommended restaurants can be found on the Social Activities page. All residential conference guests receive complimentary access to UCLA's outstanding recreational facilities during their stay. Guest can enjoy tennis, racquetball, and workout facilities at John Wooden Center, or swim and sunbathe at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Both facilities are a short walk from the residential facilities Driving Directions to UCLA De Neve Plaza The UCLA Campus is easily accessible from the San Diego Freeway (405) by taking the freeway north from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), exit at Sunset Boulevard east. Take Sunset Blvd east about one mile, and make a right at Bellagio Drive, whereupon you will enter the UCLA campus. At the first stop sign on Bellagio make a left and follow to Charles E. Young Drive. Make a right on Young Dr. and follow signs to Dykstra/De Neve. Driving Directions Map (Adobe Acrobat PDF file) Parking Parking permits are REQUIRED at UCLA. Vehicles not visibly displaying parking permits, parked illegally, or parked in a location not designated on the permit, are subject to ticketing and towing. There are 11 Parking & Information booths where assigned parking permits can be purchased for $8 USD (Daily). You can visit the UCLA Parking Services website for more information. Climate and Dress Typically, the climate in Southern California during the summer months is mild to warm. Meeting room temperatures vary, so layered clothing, such as a sweater or light jacket are recommended for your personal comfort. Attire for the entire conference is "summer casual" and you are encouraged to dress comfortably. Business Center/Mini Bookstore Covel Business Center serves the business needs of our guests including copying, shipping and internet access. Also, a small UCLA bookstore is conveniently located in the housing area. Special Needs If any participant has special needs, please indicate the requirements on the UCLA Housing Form. Smoking Please remember that smoking is not permitted within UCLA buildings. There are designated outdoor areas for smoking. Check-In/Check-Out Time Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. UCLA Conference Services cannot guarantee early check-ins prior to 4 p.m. on day of arrival. Every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals, as individual rooms become available. Housing Deadline Housing is limited. Please register as soon as possible, but no later than June 30, 2005. If your registration is received after this deadline, we will do our best to provide you with accommodations for the duration of your conference subject to space availability. Cancellation/Refund Policy Individual Reservations are only refundable (minus one night's stay and the administrative charge) when UCLA Conference Services is notified in writing by July 9, 2005 fourteen (14) days prior to July 24, 2005. Any cancellations after the fourteen (14) day deadline are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for early departures or late arrivals (in the event that a guest checks out earlier or arrives later than the reserved date noted on the Registration form). Payment Payment for housing can be made by checks in U.S. funds and drawn on a U.S. bank, and payable to "UC Regents". You may also pay by credit card by filling in the appropriate section of the housing registration form. Your credit card will be charged the full package amount immediately upon receipt.
